Thrust Ball Bearings

★　Product Characteristics

Thrust ball bearing comprises a blowout patch, a seat ring, steel balls and a holder. The ferrule matches axis is called blowout patch, while the ferrule matches housing is called seat ring. The bearing whose seat ring has a spherical fitting surface is provided with self-aligning function, and the effect of mounting error is reduced.

The thrust bearing is mainly used to be subject to axial load. It can transfer major axial load, but it can not be subject to radial load. This type of bearing is mainly applied on automotive steering gear and machine tool main shaft etc.

●　Product Classification

Thrust ball bearings produced by ZWZ are mainly divided into two types:

1. Unidirectional thrust ball bearing
2. Bidirectional thrust ball bearing

Unidirectional Thrust Ball Bearing

The bearing comprises a blowout patch, a seat ring and components of steel balls and holder. The bearing is separable, while the blowout patch, the seat ring and components of steel balls and holder can be separately mounted. There are three types:

1. Thrust ball bearing with flat seat ring
2. Thrust ball bearing with aligning seat ring
3. Thrust ball bearing with aligning seat ring and aligning seat washer

Unidirectional thrust ball bearing is mainly used to subject to unidirectional axial load, and unidirectional axial location can be made.

Bidirectional Thrust Ball Bearing

The bearing comprises a blowout patch, two seat rings, a middle blowout patch and components of steel balls and holder. The bearing is separable, while the blowout patches, the seat rings and components of steel balls and holder can be separately mounted. There are three types:

1. Thrust ball bearing with flat seat ring
2. Thrust ball bearing with aligning seat ring
3. Thrust ball bearing with aligning seat ring and aligning seat washer

Bidirectional thrust ball bearing can be subject to bidirectional axial load, and bidirectional location can be made.

The fundamental dimensions of ZWZ thrust ball bearings are listed in the dimension datasheet

Inner diameter range: 25mm～1380mm
Outer diameter range: 42mm～1540mm
Width range: 11mm～160 mm

◆　Tolerance

ZWZ standard thrust ball bearing is provided with plain grade, namely P6, P5 and P4 precision grade, which accords with national standard.

▲　Minimum Axial Load

When the thrust balls are running, if impressed load is too small and axial load is not compressed, the steel balls will slip because of the effect of centrifugal force, and the normal working order of bearings will be destroyed. In order to avoid this case, minimum axial load Famin should be exert on working thrust ball bearing.

Permissible angle error

The two supporting surfaces of the thrust ball bearing should be parallel, and any deviation is not allowed. Thrust ball bearing with spherical seat ring and spherical washer is provided with aligning nature, and the effect of angle error is reduced in mounting.

★　Holder

The holder usually adopts two structures, namely stamping holder and entity holder. Other holders will be adopted for special requirements.

When bearing outer diameter D≤250mm, steel sheet (belt0 stamping holder is adopted, and the postposition code of the holder is not marked.

When bearing outer diameter D>250mm, brass entity holder is adopted, and the postposition code is not marked. But corresponding postposition codes of other holders should be marked.
