Wangfangdian Bearing Group Corp. Technical Center is a national-class enterprise technical center authorized by Finance and Economic Committee, National Tax Bureau and the Customs Head Office in 1995. It assumes the responsibility of technology development, D&R, techniques and package design, research and design of bearing equipments, product experiment and test, information services, computer development and application as well as scientific research and many more. Through the thrice biggish adjustment and enrichment in Aug. 1996, Dec. 1998, and Feb.2000, it has established the "integral process" work pattern via producing, learning and researching collaboratively as the tackling key task which is lead by market and technology, pioneered by product development and upgrade, focused on technique development and material research, guaranteed by the application of special equipments and computer technology, backed by product simulated experiment and precise examination and test Then ZWZ built a technical and innovative system based on the Technology and Quality Dept in subsidiaries and Technology Sections in sub-factories, the technical center as the core, the Planning and Development Dept and Quality Assurance Dept as two wings.

Since the reform in 2000, Technical Center has developed over 1800 new products, popularized and self-developed 30 types (60 sets) special equipments The wheel hub bearing and clutch release bearing for the second generation saloon car developed by ZWZ has filled the domestic blank and substituted the imported ones. The comprehensive performance of the bearing for speeding-up railway is proved to be of the same level with foreign similar products by Qingdao Sifang Auto Research Institute Six types of special bearings developed exclusively for No.1 Project of the Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense broken foreign technology blockades made particular contributions to the development of new types of battleships. Three types of bearings for strobe developed for Three Gorge Project passed the destructive experiment carried out by Haihe University. They can work for 50 years at 50 meters underwater. The ceramic ball bearings developed for Qinghua University "863" nuclear reactor fully met the requirements of corrosion resistance and long life. Three types of jointing automation slewing bearings for Shengyang Automation Institute and the oversize slewing bearings accessorized for the satellite's ground tracking station gained one-off success and received high reputation from customers. The successful development of bearings for the launching shoe of No.4 Divine Vessel Satellite and the aviation bearings for "Helicopter Eight" airplane made great contributions to the Science and Technology of national defense. ZWZ successfully opened the American EATON Co. and GE Co markets. Now ZWZ Technical Center have got 79 national patents and been awarded 10 municipal prizes for Technology Progress and 11 national prizes for its Excellent New Product. ZWZ Technical Center is leading the development of China bearing industry.
