Self Lubricating Knuckle Bearings


★ Product Characteristics


Self lubricating centripetal knuckle bearing is applicable for situations where self-aligning is required and definite inclination or swing may be generated between shaft and bearing block. Because this type of bearing is provided with series of advantages, it can preferably satisfy user’s requirements on both technology and economy, so it is more and more widely applied in recent years.

Compared with other sliding bearings, the advantages of this type of bearing are mainly in the following aspects:

1.Can simultaneously be subject to axial and radial force

Because the sliding surface of this type of sliding bearing is sphere, it can simultaneously transfer forces in both axial and radial direction. So it is unnecessary to separately set thrust pad.

2.It is provided with optimal sliding interface combination

Because sliding cushion coat is set between the inner race and the outer race, its axial clearance can be limited in selected scope. Sliding occurs between the inner race and the outer race, not between the hinge shaft and the bearing.

3.Not sensitive to deflection

Because this type of sliding bearing can adjust deflection in a definite range, pressure distribution in the bearing will not be affected.

4.Damp vibration

Because "soft" sliding cushion coat material is adopted between the inner race and outer race of this type of sliding bearing, it is provided with good buffer performance, and it can absorb impact and avoid vibration.

● Bearing Dimension

The new spherical sliding bearing outer diameter is raised according to ISO's dimension bound for spherical sliding bearing. Relevant dimension of GET...FHS、GET...CHS bearings are listed in bearing dimension table of the sample. Meanwhile, the fundamental dimension of thrust knuckle bearing is also listed in the bearing dimension table.

■ Bearing Structure Design

GET...FHS and GET...CHS self lubricating centripetal knuckle bears are all provided with an inner race and two half outer races. Because the structure adopts different self lubricating material, its internal designs are also different.

GET...FHS structure: the outer race is made of medium carbon steel, and the concave ring surface of the outer race is totally planked by lamella made by PTFE fiber glass reinforced plastic. In order to make worn particulate and dust deposit and lubricate again, axial grooves are set on these lamellas. The inner race is made of plain carbon steel.

GET...CHS structure: the outer race and the inner race are all made of medium carbon steel. Specially made bronze self lubricating material is adopted on the sliding surface, which is made into disk shape and embedded in circular hole in the inner race spherical surface.

◆ Self Lubricating Thrust Knuckle Bearing

GX...C self lubricating thrust knuckle bearings are provided with a blowout pitch and a seat ring. The seat ring sliding surface adopts specially made self lubricating material.

▲ Bearing Style

In the ordinary course of events, GET...CHS type structure should be considered at first. If the dead load value of the bearing is fully utilized, the dimensions of GET...CHS type bearings are less than GET...FHS type, so more economical effect will be obtained. GET...CHS type structure bearing that adopts specially made bronze can be subject to super dead load, and bearings with a high solid lubricant content can offer maintenance-free operation, excellent lubricating property and corrosion resisting property. GET...FHS type structure bearing is provided with a sliding cushion coat made up of PTFE composite material. This material is provided with good wear-resisting property. Because this type of cushion coat is totally adopted on the outer race, the bearing can be subject to large moving load. But the dead load capacity of the bearing is lower than GET...CHS type structure. In situations where the bearing dimensions are determined, but the large dead load value of GET...CHS type bearing can not be brought into fullplay, GET...FHS type bearing is usually adopted.

★ Bearing Usage Temperature

GET...FHS type bearings can be applied between -40℃ and +90℃. But the load capacity of the bearing will be reduced when the temperature exceeds +50℃. GET...CHS type bearings can be applied between -50℃ and +300℃.
